Health Literacy (HL) is the ability of individuals to understand, critically reflect and use information related to their health (also online or through digital app: the so called Digital HL), which is an important addition to schooling even more important during the pandemic we are still experiencing (WHO, 2021). In this scenario, the contribution aims to frame - from a theoretical-methodological point of view - HL in the European context, paying particular attention to the research available in the literature and underlining the importance of working - in the Italian context - to the construction of school curricula (in all school levels and grades) in which HL can find a much more structured space, as has been the case for some time in other European countries.
