Giuseppe Pitrè tra cultura e tradizione nella filosofia di Giovanni Gentile

Abstract

This article investigates the links between the philosophy of Giovanni Gentile and the concepts of folk science of Giuseppe Pitrè, especially in the period 1913-1918. Indeed, the ideas of tradition and culture formulated by Gentile distance the Sicilian philosopher from a classical vision of anthropology and he achieves an aesthetic and political consideration of cultural facts which also influences his vision around Pitrè's demopsicologia.
