Abstract

The paper intends to give an account of an ethno-anthropological research on traditional Italian espresso coffee, conducted in 2018, aimed at documenting the intimate, profound and irreplaceable value that the culture of espresso takes on within Italian society. The research was carried out in partnership with the Consortium for the Safeguard of Traditional Italian Espresso Coffee, as part of the candidacy of the espresso coffee to the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
