Análisis del discurso político. Discurso de investidura de Rodrigo Chaves Robles – 49º presidente de la República de Costa Rica

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to carry out an analysis of the investiture speech of Rodrigo Chaves Robles, delivered after taking office as the 49th President of the Republic of Costa Rica, on May 8, 2022. To this end, we will follow a personal methodology that, even with its limitations and without having to be considered exclusive, lends itself effectively to achieving our objective. In this way, it will be possible to observe the dynamics of the political, social and linguistic dimensions and, on the other hand, it will be possible to observe the inclusion in the text of different semantic-pragmatic resources and rhetorical-discursive strategies that entail an evident persuasive perlocutionary intention of the addressee.
