Un individuo vivente di Nudibranchi del genere Sclerodoris ELIOT, 1904 è stato recentemente dragato sulle secche dell’Amendolara, nel golfo di Taranto. Il genere Sclerodoris, che conta specie di Nudibranchi tropicali, non era noto per il Mediterraneo. Nonostante la difficoltà nella identificazione, l’Autore ritiene che l’esemplare possa riferirsi alla specie dell’Oc. Indiano Sclerodoris tuberculata ELIOT, 1904.

A living specimen of Nudibranchs of the genus Sclerodoris ELIOT, 1904 recently has been dredged on the Amendolara Seamount, in the gulf of Taranto. The genus Sclerodoris, with tropical species of Nudibranchs, has not previously been reported from Mediterranean. Although the difficult identification, the Author regards the specimen may be referred to the species Sclerodoris tuberculatu ELIOT, 1904 from Indian Ocean.
