Tracce per l'utopia = Traces for Utopia

Abstract

At present time, utopia has to face up to a threefold dimension: people, power, technology. These elements have to be submitted not only to a mere description, but also to a critical judgement. Further aspects to consider are mass media system, citizenship, work. Aiming at a utopian building, we can overcome the lack of universalistic coordinates, proposing person as a concrete utopia that is able to qualify the systemic linkage of people, power and technology in a good way. The realization of every person's dignity can be the driving force not only behind large-scale utopian projects (macro-utopias), but also behind their smallerscale implementations (micro-utopias). The utopian project also encompasses the harmonious relationship between humans and non-human beings, as well as humanity's place in the cosmos.
