Abstract

This paper focuses on the contrastive analysis of two subtitled Italian versions of the Spanish series "El Ministerio del Tiempo", in particular the forth season. The preliminary results of the qualitative and descriptive analysis of the subtitles created by the fansubbers of two Italian communities, Subtheka and A7A will be provided. Simultaneously my translation proposal will be provided. This proposal will respect standards and conventions established by experts of profesional subtliting. The análisis is based on a selection of scenes from the episodes of the last season of the series with the aim of identifying and classifying the different translation strategies used with culture-bound elements.
