In Group Psychology and the Analysis of the Ego (1921) Sigmund Freud proposes an analysis of Psychology of Crowds (1895) by Gustave Le Bon, identifying its strengths and weaknesses for a new contribution to the study of how drives work within crowds. Freud and Le Bon investigate on the way in which religion takes root and spreads: the paper is aimed to deepen both perspectives, psychological and psychoanalytical, of the religious phenomenon in the masses.Downloads
