Il presente contributo prende in esame il manoscritto Marc. gr. Z 402 (= 1031), raro testimone illustrato della Χρονικὴ σύντομος ἐπισύναξις di Michele Glica, databile grosso modo all'ultimo quarto del XIII secolo. Attraverso una nuova valutazione dei dati paleografici e storico-artistici, si ridefinisce l'identità geografica del manoscritto, mettendo in discussione la tradizionale attribuzione al territorio salentino e indicando l'ambito cipriota quale verosimile luo-go di copia.

This essay examines the manuscript Marc. gr. Z 402 (= 1031), a rare illustrated copy of Michele Glica's Χρονικὴ σύντομος ἐπισύναξις, which can be roughly dated to the last quarter of the 13th century. Through a reassessment of palaeographical and art-historical evidence, the article reconsiders the manuscript's geographical origin, challenging its traditional attribution to the Salento region and identi-fying Cyprus as its most probable place of production.
