En
Andrea from Isernia is maybe the most relevant jurist of the Angevine age. Born at the end of the Suebian age, he died before the October 1316. His best work, which gives him fame and a European dimension, is the commentary on the Libri Feudorum, whose relevance lies in the new and general argumentative force inside the feudal law. Some of his minor works, given up for lost, are hidden behind this greatest work.

Andrea da Isernia è forse il maggior giurista meridionale dell'età angioina. Nato alla fine dell'età sveva, muore, prima dell'ottobre 1316. La sua opera maggiore, che gli dà fama e dimensione europea, è il commento ai Libri Feudorum, la cui importanza sta nell'aver elaborato per primo, e comunque in modo generale, una forza argomentativa interna al diritto feudale. Alcune sue opere minori, date per perse, si nascondono invece in questa sua opera maggiore.
