Lo studio ricostruttivo dei templi all'interno del temenos del sito di Soknopaiou Nesos (Dime es Seba-Fayyum)

Abstract

Starting from 2013, within the excavation and research activities of the mission at Soknopaiou Nesos, a virtual archaeology project called Virtual Dime was launched, with the aim of creating virtual reconstructions of the main monuments of the city and in particular of the buildings present within the sacred area, defined by the imposing structures of the temenos, located north of the inhabited center. Inside the large templar enclosure 28 buildings are still visible of which four have been recognized as temples (ST 6-18-19-20) plus a contra-temple (ST 203) and two chapels that lean on the north side of the temenos. This contribution will illustrate the reconstructive study of the three main temples, ST 18-20-203, located along the central northsouth axis of the temenos, in continuity with the long dromos to which it was connected via an entrance located in the middle of the south side of the templar enclosure.
