Abstract

The following contribution presents the rather unknown publication "Per te, soldato d'Albania" from 1941. This book, intended as a manual for the Albanian soldiers who were incorporated into the Italian armed forces after the occupation of Albania by Fascist Italy, is a work of pure Fascist propaganda. The content and argumentation are aimed at portraying and justifying the occupation of 1939 as a teleological historical event. This, as well as the language, make this propaganda work a unique document of that dark period of Albania's history which should not be forgotten.
