The aim of the contribution is to explore three recent volumes - Contro l'ideologia della valutazione. L'Anvur e l'arte della rottamazione dell'università by Davide Borrelli (2015), I pesci e il pavone. Contro la valutazione meritocratica della ricerca scientifica by Enrico Mauro (2017) and Valutatemi! Il fascino discreto della meritocrazia by Bénédicte Vidaillet (2018). By adopting a critical standpoint that intertwines a complex of knots, relationships and issues of the present that go far beyond the circumscribed scope of the academic field, these volumes deconstruct the rhetoric and semantic mystifications of the culture of evaluation (Pinto, 2014). A culture that is virally spreading in professions, sectors, levels of classification, in increasingly transversal fields: from the corporate world to the public administration, from the main television formats at all levels of the education and training system.Downloads
