Abstract

The ancient connecting routes between the Adriatic Sea and Turkey crossed mobile and uncertain boundaries. Nationalisms have made rigid borders and induced citizens to join the national model. The author reflects on these themes, suggesting examples of study: the spread of coffee, the Anastenaria.
