In the Imperial armory of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna are stored two objects from the sixteenth century which are commonly attributed to the Albanian hero George Castriota said Scanderbeg (1403-1468): a helmet with the inventory number A127 and a sword with the inventory number A550. The author submits a precise analysis of the two objects on the basis of a rigorous investigation performed directly on these objects. The result of his research leads to new and unexpected conclusions.Downloads
