Abstract

In [1] (p.123) Bumcrot proposed the problem of finding, in $PG(2,q)$ complete arcs A, other than ovals, which satisfy the following hypothesis:(*) every point not belonging to A is on at least three secants to A.In our paper, this problem is solved showing that $PG(2,16)$ has a 12-arc satisfying (*).
