Unlike finite fields, finite semifields possess inner automorphisms. A further surprise is that even noncommutative semifields possess inner automorphisms. We compute inner automorphisms and automorphism groups for semifields quadratic over the nucleus, the Hughes-Kleinfeld semifields and the Dickson commutative semifields.
