Abstract

In a recent paper, with the aid of an electronical calculating machine, the Authors give an example of an abstract oval (in the sense of Euekenhout) of order eight which is not projective.In this work, always with the aid of a computer, they show the uniqueness of the abstract oval of order seven,thus showing that eight is the smallest order possible for a non-projective abstract oval.
