Questa ricerca si propone non solo di analizzare la genesi e lo sviluppo delle relazioni angloitaliane all'interno della Women International Matteotti Committee (WIMC o Comitato Matteotti) ma anche il rapporto che intercorre tra la propaganda antifascista e lo sviluppo di questo movimento. La storia della WIMC si basa su un doppio binario: il primo riguarda la collaborazione tra Sylvia Pankhurst, Silvio Corio e gli intellettuali italiani esuli; il secondo sul ruolo internazionale che il Comitato Matteotti si è saputo riservare grazie ad un'intensa attività antifascista condotta in particolare da Sylvia Pankhurst.

The present work aims to highlight not only the genesis and development of Anglo-Italian relations within the Women International Matteotti Committee, but also the relationship between anti-Fascist propaganda and the spread of this movement. The history of WIMC therefore follows a double track: the first refers to the partnership established between Sylvia Pankhurst and Silvio Corio on the one hand and Italian intellectuals on the other; the second step can be traced in the international role that the Women's International Matteotti Committe has exercised and carried out with an intense anti-Fascist activity – in particular by Pankhurst.
