The contribution was written in conversational form, almost as if to dialogue with De Giorgi; the result was a short story focused on his civil religion, an authentic expression of the passion that animated him.A loose, "sentimental" approach was therefore chosen to narrate the spirit of the testimony of the man, the professor and the scientist. Thus emerges the all-round figure of the Master, beloved by his students: the disciples, the first and faithful collaborators of the teacher, who wisely accompanied them on the path of knowledge, in the life that awaited them.

Il contributo è stato scritto in forma colloquiale, quasi a voler dialogare con De Giorgi; ne è disceso un breve racconto incentrato sulla sua religione civile, espressione autentica della passione che lo animava.Per narrare lo spirito della testimonianza dell'uomo, del professore e dello scienziato si è quindi scelto un approccio sciolto, "sentimentale". Emerge così la figura a tutto tondo del Maestro, amatissimo dai suoi studenti: i discepoli, i primi e fedeli collaboratori del docente, che li accompagnava saggiamente nel cammino della conoscenza, nella vita che li aspettava.
