Testi giuridici e amministrativi in volgare del Salento medievale

Abstract

This paper examines a selected corpus of administrative and legal texts produced in Medieval Salento, which has been created thanks to the database of the BDSud(it) project (www.bdsud.it). The results highlight the existence of a good number of documents, whose investigation shall contribute to improve the definition of the historical-linguistic picture of Italy's Eastern strip of land.

Il contributo offre una ricognizione dei testi amministrativi e giuridici prodotti in volgare nel Salento medievale, avvalendosi del progetto BDSud(it) (www.bdsud.it). I risultati attestano l'esistenza di un buon numero di documenti, che, studiati adeguatamente, in futuro potranno contribuire a delineare con maggior precisione il quadro storico-linguistico dell'estremo lembo orientale dell'Italia.
