Abstract

The essay aims to outline the biographical profile of Giorgio Misrachi (1888 Costantinopoli-1962 Rome) who, awarded various positons and honors of chivarly and belonging to a prestigious family of entrepreneurs, contributed to the development and progress of tobacco farming and the Italian economy. In a difficult period characterized by war and post-war phases he distinguished himself as benefactor and started important national business initiatives that created numerous jobs.
