Abstract

In this article I study the question of the presence of women in the history of Italian banditry. Male connotation in armed groups was prevalent, since the presence of women was contrary to the code based on the primacy of force and violence. However, the texts of the trials in the official documents re-veal a relationship between women and banditry in the fight against oppression and the desperate living conditions.
