Abstract

This essay analyzes the first phase of the Great War and, particularly, the role of the Provin-cial Governor of Gallipoli, which became the center of the counter-intelligence of Terra d’Otranto in or-der to protect Italian and Allied naval actions in the damming of Otranto Strait.
