"Terre incognite". Charles Yriarte e il viaggio nell'Adriatico orientale

Abstract

The article describes the trips of the French architect Charles Yriarte, a journalist from various French newspapers, in the Eastern Adriatic region, with emphasis on the Austrian territories in that part of the Balkan region, in the second half of the nineteenth century. His travel writings were criticized by the Italian journalists.
