On improving Horvitz–Thompson method of estimation through location shifts under midzuno–sen scheme of sampling

Abstract

Considering suitable transformations of survey and size variables, an attempt has been made to improve upon the Horvitz-Thompson estimator through Midzuno-Sen scheme of sampling. Analytical as well as numerical studies have been undertaken in order to examine the properties of the suggested sampling methodology.
